<br />IL Be it enacted, by the Warden and Councillors of the Mnsneipad
<br />Corporstiion of the County of Essex, is Council assembled, by virtro

<br />Hawkers and Pedlars, and other trading persons, going from place to
<br />P or travelling in any way whatever for saeb parpose� or who
<br />have not bevotae. householders .by permanent reAdeaos in -any ton 49
<br />place within the said County of Essex, shall carry to @ell► or eapceo or
<br />,offer for ale any goods, wares or merchandizer without first taking omt
<br />a License for ouch purpose.
<br />. IIL .Be it further enacted by the authority aforesmdthat the License
<br />hereinbefore mentioned shall be granted by J. ,H. Wilkinson, the Coeety
<br />Clerk, upon a eertificaa fidm the County iremurer, that NA pe=on
<br />has paid- the amount of such License ' into. his hands. And for orrery
<br />wch License that 8111t11 bye 9r&n&4 ,there shall be paid by the tense`= or
<br />persons applying for the .sa=ne, the sum Of f? IOL for doub►e-hovse
<br />conveyawai, the sum of X5 for single -horse conveyances; and the MOW
<br />of tz for foot - pedlars and + i *kers; and for any persons pedling or
<br />hawking in any gther conyeyance than above enumerated, the lava of

<br />IV. ,Bo it further onaetad, -by the authority aforesaid, That any per-
<br />son or persons who shall sell, -or c=orm to sell, or expose or o&r to =ell,
<br />-any goods, wares or merchandias Without first having obtained a License
<br />tbereior, shall be sutyect to a penalty 'of . not less Lbxn oso'pc*W oar
<br />mom than five Pounds for, every contravention of this B, -Law, to be
<br />levied by warrant tinder the haunt and seat of any Justice of the Peace
<br />of the • County of Essex; and ip default of suflzaient distress, the party
<br />ro convicted to be imprisoned is theq mmoe Gaol.of the Qonaty of
<br />Essex for a period not exeeed4ig twouty days.
<br />V. Be it enacted, by the authority aforwaid, that all moneys received
<br />for Liceuse4, and All penalties and foes levied and colleetod under this
<br />By -Law, shall be paid in ±o the Treasury of tho County of Esc, whirl
<br />&hall form part of the geuora fuuda of the County*
