<br />Wilkinson, of the Town of Sandwich, in the County of Easexj Esgnira,
<br />k, County Clerk of the said County of Essex; and wlierew by another Tate
<br />of the said Council Paul John Salter, Esquire, was duly elected, and
<br />;i Pierre Hector Morin, Esquire, waa duly appointed by the Warden of the
<br />9 said County of Essex, Auditors for the said County under and by virtue
<br />of the it Upper Canada Municipal Corporations Act of 1849."
<br />II. Be it therefore enacted by the Warden and Councillats of the
<br />Municipal Corporation of the County of Essex, in Council assembled,
<br />under and by virtue of the aforesaid Act, That the said George Bullock
<br />jis hereby appointed to all intents and purposes, the Treasurer of the
<br />said County of Essex; who shall enter upon the duties of said office, so
<br />I soon as he shall have executed the necessary Bonds for the due perform-
<br />I ance of said office, and shall be entitled to all fees and emoluments to be
<br />hereafter derived therefrom,
<br />III. Be it enacted, by the authority aforesaid, That the said James
<br />Hands Wilkinson is hereby appointed, to all intents and Purposes, the
<br />County Clerk of the said. Municipal Corporation of the said County of
<br />Essex, and shall be entitled to, and is hereby authorised to receive, all
<br />fees, salaries, and emoluments to be hereafter derived therefrom.
<br />IV. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the said
<br />George Bullock shall be entitled to receive, a salary of £125 per annum
<br />as Treasurer of the said County of Essex.
<br />V. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the salary of
<br />the said James Hands Wilkinson, for his services as County Clerl; of the
<br />said County of Essex, shall be £75 per annum; and that the salary of
<br />the said Paul John Salter and Pierre Hector Morin, shall be £15 per
<br />annum each for their services as Auditors for the said County of Essex.
<br />j VI. Whereas by a vote of the Municipal Corporation of the County
<br />of Essex, the salary of Dennis Moynahan, Esq, Gaoler for the County
<br />r aforesaid, was set at £100 per annum; be it therefore enacted, by the
<br />authority aforesaid, that the said Dennis I loynahan shall be entitled to
<br />receives and is hereby authorised to receive, a salary of £100 per
<br />annum, in lieu of .all fees or other emoluments which are hereafter to
<br />be derived from the said office of Gaoler.
<br />` . VII. And be it further enacted, by the authority aforesaid, that the
<br />salaries to be paid to the several officers mentioned in this By -Law,
<br />shalt be paid by warrant upon the Treasurer of the said County of Essex,
<br />quarterly; and that the Warden is hereby authorised and required to
<br />sign the Warrants for the payment of said salaries respectively, as the
<br />sine map become due; and that, upon the said warrants being duly
<br />signed by the Warden of the said County, the Auditors are hereby re_
<br />quired to audit and sign the same, upon which said warrants, so signed
<br />and audited, the Treasurer of the said County is hereby required to
<br />Vy the said respective salaries to the different Officers mentioned in this
<br />y -Law as the same may become due.
