JHSC Civic Centre Minutes <br /> October 31, 2017 <br /> Executives and Senior Management agree to the terms. It was <br /> recommended and agreed upon that a signature page be included at the end <br /> of the Terms of Reference and obtain signatures from the current Co-Chairs, <br /> CUPE Executive and Senior Management (C.A.O.). <br /> 3. Reports <br /> a. Noise Assessment Report from the Occupational Health Clinics for Ontario <br /> Workers (OHCOW) was submitted and received on Sept. 8t", 2017. This <br /> report was circulated by Human Resources to Maintenance and I.T. <br /> Management the same day via e-mail. This report confirms that the high <br /> noise areas (Boiler Room and I.T. Server Room) are below the Ontario <br /> threshold of 85 dbA, but that hearing protection should be worn for areas <br /> where levels exceed 80dBA (threshold of risk of hearing loss). The report is <br /> attached with these Minutes. <br /> 4. Training <br /> a. The Committee was reminded of the upcoming Certification Refresher <br /> training taking place on November 21St and 22nd. The invitation to attend the <br /> training has been sent to all Local Municipalities, and will also be extended to <br /> the other JHSCs in the Civic Centre and Alternates for this Committee. <br /> S. Workplace Inspection Review <br /> a. The most recent inspection was reviewed and discussed. Those items listed <br /> as complete will be verified during the upcoming inspection. <br /> 6. Accident and Incident Review <br /> a. One incident occurred on August 8t", at approximately noon at the south <br /> building entrance. The employee's foot caught a step while descending the <br /> stairs, and fell to his/her knees on the sidewalk. The employee received <br /> medical treatment at a clinic and returned to work the following day. <br /> [Post Meeting Note: upon inspection of the location of the incident, there are <br /> no corrective actions required.] <br /> 7.
