By -law # 19 -2003 <br />Page 2 <br />APPRAISALS <br />3 Except for disposals of those classes of land exempted by the Municipal <br />Act 2001, as amended from time to time, the County shall prior to the <br />sale of land, obtain at least one appraisal of the fair market value of the <br />land. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />4. (a) Unless otherwise statutorily prescribed, public notice of the <br />intention of Council to consider passing a by -law to sell land shall <br />be posted or published at least once, not less than five days or more <br />than thirty days prior to the date of the meeting at which the said by- <br />law will be considered. <br />(b) Nothing in this by -law shall prevent the Clerk from using other <br />methods of notice in addition to the notice provided in subsection <br />4(a) herein. <br />PUBLIC REGISTER <br />5. The Corporation shall establish and maintain a public register listing and <br />describing the lands owned or leased by the Corporation, save and except <br />those classes of land which are exempt from listing in the public register <br />under the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended from time to time. This <br />register shall be available to the public for inspection during regular <br />office hours. <br />CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE <br />6. The Clerk may issue a certificate with respect to a sale of land by the <br />Corporation, verifying that to the best of his /her knowledge, the <br />requirements of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended from time to time, <br />have been complied with. <br />REPEAL <br />7. By -law # 3274 -97 is hereby repealed. <br />
