BY -LAW NUMBER 1943 A BY -LAW OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX TO AUTHORIZE THE SIGNING OF AN AGREEMENT, DATED JANUARY 1, 1971. WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the Counts of Essex has requested the Ontario Housing Corporation to provide rental housing accommodation for senior citizens, resident in the County; AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable that the County pay the operating losses being charged to the local municipalities by the Ontario Housing Corporation being 7.5% and the local improvements which would be levied on similar property to Amherstburg, Essex, Kingsville and Leamington for rental housing units built by the Ontario Housing Corporation within their boundaries; AND WHEREAS an Agreement between the Corporation of the County of Essex and the said Corporations, dated January 1, 1971, has been prepared providing for terms of the payments of the said monies to the said Corporations; THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as follows:- (1) That the Warden Clerk of the Corporation of the County of Essex be authorized to sign and seal the said Agreements, dated January 1, 1971, on behalf of the Corporation. (2) That the said By -law or agreement shall not come into force and take effect until signed by the proper signing authorities of the respective municipalities named therein.
