e BY-LAWS OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX 33 the County in the Township of Mersea adjoining the Town of Lea- mington, the terms of which agreement are contained in a formal writ- ing bearing date the 19th day of January, 1900, executed by the Mayor and Clerk of the said town under the authority of a By-law of the Municipal Council passed on the same date. And whereas it is deemed expedient to join in the said agreement on the part of the County. 1. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Cor- poration of the County of Essex and it is hereby enacted that the said agreement as executed by the Town of Leamington be adopted on behalf of the County, and the Warden and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the same and attach the corporate seal. 2. Be it further enacted that the Warden and Clerk on behalf of the County, do sign and attach the corporate seal to the petition necessary to procure an Act of the Legislature of Ontario, legalizing and confirming the said agreement and the By-laws of the two Muni- cipalities authorizing it, which Act is to be applied for by the Council of Leamington. 3. Be it therefore enacted that this County bear one-half of the cost of procuring the said Act, to be paid out of the general funds of the County. (Signed) THOS. McKEE, (Signed) J. D. A.
