<br />e <br /> <br />BY-LAWS OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br /> <br />33 <br /> <br />the County in the Township of Mersea adjoining the Town of Lea- <br />mington, the terms of which agreement are contained in a formal writ- <br />ing bearing date the 19th day of January, 1900, executed by the Mayor <br />and Clerk of the said town under the authority of a By-law of the <br />Municipal Council passed on the same date. <br /> <br />And whereas it is deemed expedient to join in the said agreement <br />on the part of the County. <br /> <br />1. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Cor- <br />poration of the County of Essex and it is hereby enacted that the said <br />agreement as executed by the Town of Leamington be adopted on <br />behalf of the County, and the Warden and Clerk are hereby authorized <br />to execute the same and attach the corporate seal. <br /> <br />2. Be it further enacted that the Warden and Clerk on behalf <br />of the County, do sign and attach the corporate seal to the petition <br />necessary to procure an Act of the Legislature of Ontario, legalizing <br />and confirming the said agreement and the By-laws of the two Muni- <br />cipalities authorizing it, which Act is to be applied for by the Council <br />of Leamington. <br />3. Be it therefore enacted that this County bear one-half of the <br />cost of procuring the said Act, to be paid out of the general funds of <br />the County. <br /> <br />(Signed) THOS.
