<br />That we would further recommend that the Special Committee asked for above, bp
<br />empowered to meet Mr. Langmuir, and that the architect, i[r. Lloyd, be requestwi to
<br />attend the meeting of this committee with Mr, Langmuir.
<br />We would recommend that Mr. Blanning be paid $20, for extra services rendered
<br />by him in connection with repairs to gaol, when acting on the Special Commit —
<br />feeling satisfied that by his efficiency thereon he bas saved the county considble
<br />expenditure.

<br />A By-Law to provide for the appointment of ttco Auditors to Pict AtA the
<br />Chairman of the General ,Sessions of the Peace, as a Board of Audit,
<br />as required by the Act passed in December, 1869, to amend the Law
<br />Reform Act. Passed January 251h, 1877.
<br />Whereas, by the Act passed in December, 1869, to amend the Law Reform Act, the
<br />County Council of each County is required to appoint annually two persons, one of
<br />whom may be a member if the Council, to assist the Chairman in auditing the ac-
<br />counts of the Court of General Sessions of the Peace, or of Oyer and Terminer and
<br />General Gaol Delivery:
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County
<br />of Essex in Council assembled, that Samuel McGee, one of the members of this Council,
<br />and Thomas McKee, be and they are hereby appointed to the Raid Board of Audit, and
<br />the said parties shall each be paid the sum of five dollars for their attendance at Back
<br />Audit.

<br />A By -Law to Confirm the Appointment of Auditors for the County Of
<br />Nssex. Passed, January 25th, 1877.
<br />Whereas, the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex is
<br />Council assembled, did by vote appoint Charles G. Fortier as Auditor, anal the Warden
<br />by exercise of his privilege, appointed Leonard Nightingale Auditor, to act with
<br />the said Charles G. Fortier as Auditors for said County of Ewes :
<br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County
<br />Of Essex in Council assembled. that the said Charles G. Fortier and the said Leonard
<br />Nightingale be and they are hereby appointed auditors for the County of Essen for
<br />the current year.
<br />And be it further enacted that the said Auditors shall each receive "A salary the
<br />sum of Fifty Dollars per annum, payable by warrants upon the County Treasurer
<br />quarterly, and that the Warden is hereby authorized to sign the said warrants for the
<br />Payment of their salaries as they become due..
