JUNE REGULAR SESSION, 1964 2M <br />Essex County Library Co- Operative <br />REPORT FOR JUNE SESSION, COUNTY COUNCIL <br />June 11, 19H <br />To the Warden and Council of the Essex County Council, <br />in Council Assembled. <br />Gentlemen: <br />Following the March session of Council the Bookmobile Cor& <br />mittee let the tender for the new bookmobile to Brown Bros. of <br />Leamington. Delivery of the new bookmobile has been delayed but <br />it is now in Leamington and will go on the road for the first time on <br />the library exchange during the week of July 19th. <br />The librarian was requested to appear on a 15 minute radio <br />programme over C. B. E. Windsor with Mrs. Allison Grant and had <br />an opportunity to discuss the work of the County Library and to <br />mention the wonderful backing which the County Library has re- <br />eeived from the Essex County Council - the reason for it being a <br />successful county library today. It is expected that a recording will <br />be made of a school exchange on the bookmobile in September and <br />this recording will again be broadcast over C. B.E. <br />Three delegates attended the Ontario Library Association Con- <br />ference at Kitchener and Mr. Willard Morris took part is a peel <br />discussion on the steps which could be taken to further the cooperation <br />of the County Library and the Small Libraries within the county- <br />At the present time Mrs. MoCormick is attending the Canadias <br />Library Conference at Halifax and acting as chairman of the County <br />and Regional meetings for all Canada in their meetings On Wedm* <br />day afternoon, June 23rd. <br />The annual dinner meeting will be held on October loth at Belle <br />River with Mr. Nutkins, Mr. George and Mrs. mcCormick in charge of <br />the arrangements.
