ESSEX-WINDSOR SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Essex County Civic and Education Centre <br />Room "C" <br /> Thursday, November 25, 2004 <br /> 4:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />EWSWA: County of Essex - Tom Burton, Wayne Hurst, Robert Schmidt (Vice- <br /> Chair) and Warden Michael Raymond <br /> City of Windsor- Tom Wilson (Chair), and Joyce Zuk <br />Absent: David Cassivi, Joanne Gignac and Mayor Ed Francis <br />Also Present:Percy Dufour <br /> <br />EWSWA Staff: Todd Pepper, Eli Maodus, Ralph Reiser and Sue White <br /> <br />City of Windsor Staff: <br />County of Essex Staff: <br /> <br />Kit Woods, Ron McConnell and Onorio Colucci <br />Brian Gregg, Mary Brennan and Rob Maisonville <br /> <br />88-04 <br /> <br />IN-CAMERA SESSION <br /> <br />Moved by Rob Schmidt <br />Seconded by Mike Raymond <br />THAT the Authority move into In-Camera Committee of the Whole <br />to discuss issues of a personnel, property and litigation nature. <br /> --CARRIED. <br /> <br />A) Regional Landfill Debt Analysis <br /> <br />Authority members considered a report from Rob <br />Maisonville, Director of Corporate Services / Treasurer, <br />providing the Authority with a status report on the debt for <br />the regional landfill, including an analysis of the original <br />assumptions on tipping fees and the projected life of the <br />landfill. In addition, two reports from Todd Pepper entitled <br />"Impacts on Debt on Landfill Tipping Fees" and "Treatment <br />of Projected 2004 Surplus" were also reviewed by the <br />members. <br /> <br />After reviewing the reports and the PowerPoint presentations <br />on addressing the debt of the Regional Landfill, staff were <br />given direction for preparation of the 2005 budget, in <br />particular the tipping fee to be charged to municipalities, <br /> <br /> <br />
