ESSEX-WINDSOR SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Essex County Civic and Education Centre <br />Room "C" <br /> Tuesday, May 9, 2000 <br /> 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />EWSWA: <br /> <br />County - Mayor Joan Flood, Mayor Wayne Hurst, Deputy Mayor Robert <br />Schmidt (Vice-Chair) and Warden Pat O'Neil <br />City - Councillor David Cassivi, Councillor Ed Francis, Councillor Alan <br />Halberstadt, Councillor Tom Wilson (Chair) and Mayor Mike Hurst <br /> <br />EWSWA Staff: Todd Pepper, Eli Maodus, and Sue White <br /> <br />City Staff: Mario latonna <br />County of Essex Mary Brennan and Rob Maisonville <br />LLC: Mr. Roland Garant, Chair <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Schmidt welcomed the members and called the meeting <br />to order. <br /> <br />DECLARATION OF INTEREST <br /> <br />No disclosure of interest was noted. <br /> <br />3. DELEGATIONS <br /> <br />A) Mr. Edwin Hooker, Bondy Baker Wolf re Lyons Property <br /> <br />Mr. Edwin Hooker of Bondy Baker Wolf appeared before the <br />Authority and advised that he was representing Mr. Peter <br />Lyons who wished to sell his parcel of land which was in <br />Zone 3 of the Compensation Policy. <br /> <br />Mr. Hooker stated that he wished to address two issues <br />regarding hiS client's property. Mr. Hooker stated that he <br />and his client were of the opinion that the appraisal <br />conducted by the Authority's appraiser, Derochie & <br />Associates, was not accurate since it did not base the <br />appraisal of the property as if the landfill did not exist.
