ESSEX-WINDSOR SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY <br /> <br />Essex County Civic and Education Centre <br />Council Chambers <br /> Thursday, August 5, 1999 <br /> 4:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />EWSWA: <br /> <br />County - Mayor Joan Flood, Mayor Pat Hayes, Mayor Wayne Hurst, <br />Deputy Mayor Robert Schmidt (Chair) and Warden Pat O'Neil <br />City - Councillor David Cassivi, Councillor Alan Halberstadt, and <br />Councillor Tom Wilson <br /> <br />Absent: Mayor Mike Hurst <br /> <br />EWSWA Staff: <br />City Staff: <br />County of Essex <br />Others <br /> <br />Todd Pepper, Eli Maodus, Cam Wright, and Sue White <br />Gord Harding <br />Rob Maisonville <br />Kirk Walstedt, Willms & Shier <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Schmidt welcomed the members and called the meeting <br />to order. <br /> <br />DECLARATION OF INTEREST <br /> <br />No disclosure of interest was noted. <br /> <br />DELEGATIONS <br /> <br />A) Mr. Percy Dufour <br /> <br />Mr. Dufour advised the Authority that he would like to <br />purchase 50 acres of land from the Authority and plant it in <br />trees to help eliminate the noise and odour from the landfill. <br />Mr. Pepper noted that the 50 acres in question is at the <br />south-east corner of the 400 acres of the land purchased by <br />the Authority from AFF Farms. Mr. Dufour stated that the <br />Graham Drain separated the 50 acres in question from the <br />rest of the acreage. <br /> <br /> <br />
