Deleqations

A)

Mr. Paul Mullins, Solicitor for the Township of
Colchester North

Mr. Mullins appeared before the Authority requesting
that the Township of Colchester North be paid
compensation at the same rate paid to the Township of
Maidstone as of January 1, 1997. Mr. Mullins explained
that the Township was of the opinion that since there
was an equalized tipping fee being used amongst the
municipalities, the compensation that should be paid to
the Township of Colchester North should be equal to
that being paid to the Township of Maidstone which was
at the rate of $4.05 per toD_ne of waste landfilled.
Mr. Mullins stated that the difference being paid to
Colchester North compared to Maidstone Township was
$3,000 per month. Of this amount, $1,000 would be
shared with the Township of Colchester South.
