Deleqation <br /> <br />1-96 <br /> <br />2-96 <br /> <br />3-96 <br /> <br />The Chair noted that a delegation from the citizens' group, <br />Colchester-in-Action (C.I.A.), had asked to be heard by the <br />Authority. <br /> <br />Moved by Mr. Renaud <br />Seconded by Mr. Morris <br />THAT the delegation from Colchester-in-Action be allowed to <br />make a presentation to the Authority. <br /> --CARRIED. <br /> <br />Mrs. Masse acted as spokesperson to the group and stated that <br />CIA was concerned that there were proposed amendments to the <br />compensation policy for residents around the regional landfill <br />and that CIA had not been advised of the proposed changes and <br />allowed to make comments on them. She also stated that CIA <br />would like to have time to review the proposed changes with <br />legal counsel. <br /> <br />It was noted that any change in the compensation policy would <br />require the approval of the Township of Colchester North, <br />Colchester South and the Landfill Liaison Committee of which <br />CIA was represented. <br /> <br />It was agreed that the proposed changes in the residents' <br />compensation policy would be tabled until the three parties <br />concerned had an opportunity to review the changes. <br /> <br />Mr. Innes also suggested that the changes in the compensation <br />policy be clearly highlighted so that the parties could <br />determine easily where the changes were being made. <br /> <br />Minutes of Meetinqs <br /> <br />A) Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority <br /> <br />Moved by Mr. Renaud <br />Seconded by Ms. Wisdom <br />THAT the December 5, 1995 minutes of the Essex-Windsor <br />Solid Waste Authority be adopted. <br /> --CARRIED. <br /> <br />B) Landfill Alternative Methods <br /> <br />The Authority reviewed the December 14, 1995 minutes of <br />the Landfill Alternative Methods Committee. <br /> <br />Moved by Mr. Limoges <br />Seconded by Mr. Renaud <br />THAT the December 14, 1995 minutes of the Landfill <br />Alternative Methods Committee be adopted. <br /> --CARRIED. <br /> <br />Mr. Renaud noted that a letter had been received from <br />Patrick Engineering with reference to the amount it <br />would cost to have an Executive Summary prepared by <br /> <br /> <br />
