Curran <br /> <br />Call To Order <br /> <br />The Chairman welcomed everyone and called the meeting to <br />order. Mr. Chaplin advised that the Certificate of Approval <br />for the Regional Landfill Site under the Environmental <br />Protection Act had been approved by the Ministry and copies of <br />it were available in the EWSWA office. <br /> <br />me <br /> <br />Declaration of Interest <br /> <br />No disclosure of pecuniary interest was noted. <br /> <br />224/95 <br /> <br />Delegation <br /> <br />Mr. Earl Markham, President & CEO of Thermyne Inc., appeared <br />before the Authority in order to make a presentation on his <br />proposal to establish various waste management facilities in <br />the Township of Sandwich South. <br /> <br />Moved by Warden Miller <br />Seconded by Mr. Davison <br />THAT Mr. Earl Markham, President & CEO of Thermyne Inc., be <br />allowed to appear before the Authority as a delegation. <br /> --CARRIED. <br /> <br />Mr. Markham advised the Authority that Thermyne Inc. had the <br />capability of creating a facility which would reduce landfill <br />consumption by 92% without the use of incineration. The other <br />8% could be used as refuse derived fuel. <br /> <br />Mr. Martel stated that he would like to discuss Mr. Markham's <br />proposal with the Public Advisory Committee in order that a <br />number of questions could be drafted for Mr. Markham's <br />response. <br /> <br /> <br />
