Martin, Miller, Thomson <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />The Chairman welcomed everyone and called the meeting to <br />order. <br /> <br />Declaration of Interest <br /> <br />No disclosure of pecuniary interest was noted. <br /> <br />Delegations <br /> <br />A) Proctor & Redfern <br /> <br /> Mr. Jay Stanford of Proctor & Redfern Limited, appeared <br /> before the Committee, to present the Six Month Status <br /> Report on the Essex Waste Reduction Pilot Project <br /> Executive Summary. <br /> <br /> Mr. Stanford went through the various results noted with <br /> each of the program areas which were: <br /> <br /> Green Area: Three Stream Bi-weekly Collection <br /> Brown Area: "Reduction-At-Source" <br /> Blue Area: Recycling 2000 (Curbside & Drop-Off Depot) <br /> <br /> Mr. Stanford summarized the preliminary findings as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> · Large quantities of yard waste have been recovered <br /> by pilot project participants; <br /> <br /> · Residents have accepted food waste recovery with <br /> the Compostainer; <br /> <br /> <br />
