Declaration of Interest No disclosure of pecuniary interest was noted. Deleqat ions A) Deleqation Reqardinq Doq Pound at Landfill Site No. ] The Chairman noted that Mayor Paul Innes of the Township of Colchester South and Mr. Dan Lang, Chair of the Dog Pound Committee at Landfill Site No. 1, appeared before the Committee. Mr. Innes stated that the representatives of the municipalities who participate in the Essex County %1 Dog Pound had met on December 13, 1994 to discuss the present and future dog pound facility and the proposed lease extension renewal for land located at the Landfill Site No. 1. He noted that the representatives were not willing to sign the proposed lease extension as presented to them because of the termination clause which would allow them only 30 days to vacate the premises. Mr. Innes stated that the Committee requested that they be allowed 90 days notice to vacate the present dog pound facilities, that the dog pound be located within the buffer zone of the proposed regional landfill site, and that there be an agreement that they will not be displaced. In addit~.on, he noted that if the Santarossa property could be used for the relocation of the dog pound facilities, t%~e Committee would require the extra time to make the ~.. ~ommodation suitable.
