Iatonna <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />The Chairman welcomed everyone and called the meeting to <br />order. <br /> <br />Declaration of Interest <br /> <br />No disclosure of pecuniary interest was noted. <br /> <br />Deleqat ions <br /> <br />A) Deleqation Reqardinq Doq Pound at Landfill Site No. ] <br /> <br />The Chairman noted that Mayor Paul Innes of the Township <br />of Colchester South and Mr. Dan Lang, Chair of the Dog <br />Pound Committee at Landfill Site No. 1, appeared before <br />the Committee. <br /> <br />Mr. Innes stated that the representatives of the <br />municipalities who participate in the Essex County %1 <br />Dog Pound had met on December 13, 1994 to discuss the <br />present and future dog pound facility and the proposed <br />lease extension renewal for land located at the Landfill <br />Site No. 1. He noted that the representatives were not <br />willing to sign the proposed lease extension as <br />presented to them because of the termination clause <br />which would allow them only 30 days to vacate the <br />premises. <br /> <br />Mr. Innes stated that the Committee requested that they <br />be allowed 90 days notice to vacate the present dog <br />pound facilities, that the dog pound be located within <br />the buffer zone of the proposed regional landfill site, <br />and that there be an agreement that they will not be <br />displaced. In addit~.on, he noted that if the Santarossa <br />property could be used for the relocation of the dog <br />pound facilities, t%~e Committee would require the extra <br />time to make the ~.. ~ommodation suitable. <br /> <br /> <br />
