Toth, T. <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Chairman Chaplin welcomed the members to the meeting and <br />called the meeting to order. <br /> <br />Declaration of Interest <br /> <br />No disclosure of pecuniary interest was noted. <br /> <br />Deleqations <br /> <br />A) C.A.W. Community Development Group Inc. <br /> <br />Mr. Perry Pearce, Ms. Judy Lund and Mr. Mike Darnell <br />appeared before the Authority to present their <br />proposal to conduct a 6 - 8 week fish waste and leaf <br />composting pilot project in Mersea Township. Mr. <br />Darnell advised that the project had been proposed to <br />be located next to Mr. Pearce's swine operation in <br />Mersea Township. However, the Township of Mersea had <br />denied the temporary use permit. The pilot project <br />would involve taking fish waste from the fishing <br />processing industries in the County and leaves and <br />preparing a commercial compost. Mr. Darnell also <br />advised that the Province had indicated that they <br />would be willing to provide $30,000 for the project <br />provided that a location could be found. <br /> <br />In answer to a question, Mr. Darnell stated that the <br />group was looking for a location for the pilot project <br />and looking to the Authority as a source for the <br />leaves. <br /> <br /> <br />
