ESSEX-WINDSOR SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY RECOMMENDATIONS May 17, 1994 THAT the resolution from the County of Northumberland, dated April 26, 1994, requesting that the Ministry of the Environment and Energy be petitioned to investigate the safe and efficient disposal by incineration at cement plants of contaminated paper, plastic and other products that cannot be economically reused, recycled or composted, be noted and filed. Page 2 - Res. No. 131/94 A) B) That the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority support, in principle, the payment of 40% of the Annual Payment created under Section 2.2.4 of the Compensation Policy to the Township of Colchester South; That Administration negotiate the appropriate agreement between the Authority and the Township of Colchester South to formalize the compensation being offered the Township on the understanding that a report documenting all the necessary cost information will be provided to the Authority. Page 3 - Res. No. 134/94 THAT the Authority approve in principle the amendments proposed in the revised copy of the Residents' Compensation Policy and that the revised copy be forwarded to the stakeholders' meeting of May 27, 1994 and further, if the stakeholders approve the policy, it be forwarded to the Authority for formal adoption. No. 135/94 o THAT the Essex-Windsor Solid Waste Authority approve the emergency purchase of up to $190,000 of clean earth fill for daily cover at Landfill Site No. 3 on the understanding that if additional cover material is required, the Authority would go through the usual tender process. Page 4 - Res. No. 136/94 THAT EWSWA purchase 100 roll out carts from KCI Mechanical for a total price of $8,961.25. Page 4 - Res. No. 137/94 THAT the report on the results of the equipment management quotation call be deferred to the next meeting for additional information. Page 5 - Res. No. 138/94
