Recommendations Arising from the <br />Essex-Windsor Waste Management Board Meeting of January 5, 1994 <br /> <br />THAT the letter from the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto, <br />dated December 1, 1993 inviting municipalities and landowners <br />throughout Ontario to consider becoming potential willing <br />hosts for a landfill site as part of a solid waste management <br />system to serve Metro, be received and filed. <br /> <br />Page 2 - Res. No. 3/94 <br /> <br />THAT the current policy be amended with respect to the holding <br />of a joint annual meeting between the Council of the County of <br />Essex and the Council of the City of Windsor so that the <br />Chairman, Mr. Cornies and Mr. Pepper could appear before the <br />individual councils to present the budget and should there not <br />be unanimous approval of the budget by either Council, then a <br />joint meeting of the two councils would be held. <br /> <br />Page 3 - Res. No. 5/94 <br /> <br />THAT the 1994 tipping fees be set at $45/tonne for I C & I <br />waste and $49/tonne for residential waste. <br /> <br />Page 4 - Res. No. 6/94 <br /> <br />THAT the cost of acquiring the Toldo property necessary for <br />the expansion of the recycling centre ($761,160) and the <br />construction of the new transfer station at Landfill 2 <br />($468,927) be funded from the waste management reserve. <br /> <br />Page 4 - Res. No. 7/94 <br /> <br />THAT the operating budget for the Public Consultation, <br />Education and Promotion Program be decreased by $10,000 to <br />$230,145. <br /> <br />Page 4 - Res. No. 8/94 <br /> <br />THAT the amount of $15,600 be added to allow for Landfill 1 <br />and Landfill 3 Advisory Committee meeting expenses. <br /> <br />Page 5 - Res. No. 9/94 <br /> <br />THAT on page 51 of the 1994 budget dealing with Future Compost <br />Facility Site Selection, the amount of unfinanced capital at <br />the end of 1993 read "0" and that funds be taken from the <br />reserve account to offset the unfinanced capital. <br /> <br />Page 5 - Res.
