VOLUME 22,[SSUE 5 <br /> <br />SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER <br />2002 <br /> <br />Multinational Corporation to Open <br />Office in Windsor's City Centre <br /> <br />Wipro Technologies, India's third-largest <br />software exporter, has plans to open a <br />development centre in the One Riverside <br />Drive office building currently under <br />construction by Canderel Stoneridge. <br />The $50 million, 14-storey development <br />which is nearing completion will also <br />house the Canadian headquarters of <br />DaimlerChrysler, as the principal tenant, <br />and the main branch of the National <br />Bank of Canada. <br /> <br />The new building fulfills the state-of-the- <br /> <br />art requirements necessary for a high- <br />tech business like Wipro. The com- <br />pany's development centre will occupy <br />25,000 square feet on two floors of the <br />building and will employ more than 200 <br />people. The company <br />has continued to expand and improve its <br />services. The company was formed <br />in 1985 and incorporated in 1996 in Lon- <br />don, Ontario.
