Gregg, Dunne, Prince and Schmidt, Ms. <br /> Reidel and Mrs. Martin <br /> <br />Call to Order <br /> <br />Chairman Seguin welcomed all and called the meeting to <br />order. <br /> <br />Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest <br /> <br />No disclosure of pecuniary interest was made. <br /> <br />10/97 <br /> <br />AdoDtion of Minutes <br /> <br />Moved by Mr. Kennedy <br />Seconded by Mr. McDonald <br />THAT the minutes of the Building Management Committee <br />meeting held February 13, 1997 be adopted as amended to <br />indicate that meetings will be held on the 4th Thursday <br />of the month as required. --CARRIED. <br /> <br />Deleg&tion - County Emergency Planner <br /> <br />Mr. Derek Lancaster was present to discuss concerns of <br />the County Emergency Control Group with regard to the <br />Civic Centre's back-up emergency power system. <br /> <br />Mr. Lancaster explained that the Control Group was a <br />group of key officials who would gather at the Civic <br />Centre in the event of a major emergency to co-ordinate <br />the response. He reported that the back-up power in <br />the building was not capable of responding to the <br />demands that would be placed on it in the event of an <br />emergency. <br /> <br />Mr. Lancaster felt the School Boards and E.R.C.A. would <br />probably be affected in the event of a major emergency, <br />and would therefore wish this problem addressed. <br /> <br />The School Board members agreed that the future use of <br />the building by the School Boards was in question and <br />it would therefore be unwise to commit to such an <br /> <br /> <br />
