G <br />COUNTY COUNCIL. <br />SIXTY -FIRST SESSION. ., <br />COUNCIL 0, (AMBER, JUtte 4, 1879. <br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment from the Jannary 8"sion. <br />All the members present except Mears. White and Charland. <br />The Warden having been unseated since, the January Semsion, the <br />Clerk took the chair, called the Council to order, and &9k&1 ti)r nomi- <br />nations for Warden. <br />Moved by Mr. Balfour, seconded by Mr. Smart, that John C. Iler, <br />be the Warden for the balance of the current year. <br />ovod by Dr. Carney, seconded by Mr. Boismier, tfiat William <br />Lyons , Fyq., be the Warden for the remainder of the current y oar. <br />The ball' hour having elapsed, and Mr. Lyons withdrawn, the chair- <br />man declared Mr. Iler elected. <br />The Warden elect having made the necessary declaration, on mo. <br />tion took the chair, and thanked the members for again electing hiri <br />their Warden. <br />Moagrs. White and Charland entered the Council Chamber and took <br />their gents. <br />The Warden presented a petition from certain inhahitans of Col- <br />chester, which was read and referred to the Road and Bridge Coen. <br />mittee. <br />Mr. 1ltcCain 'gives notice that he will at the next Fittings of this <br />Council move for a return of the amount due by municipalities for <br />county rates. <br />Mr. k.feCain gives notico that he will on Thumday next introduce a <br />bf.law for current expense". <br />111.. McCain gives notice that he will to- morrow introduce a by -law <br />to l,rovide for the payment of qualified school teachers and w tool in- <br />Kllector9. <br />.41r. Patterson given notice that he will to morrow introduco a by <br />Inv to ggrrant a certain sum in aid of the Essex County Model School. <br />Mr. Patterson gives nntico that he will to- morrow intnxtuco a by- <br />law to aid in providing for the expenses of Teachers' luntitutes in the <br />North and South Uidings of Essex. <br />On motion the Couneil adjourned until 14 o'cltwk tomorrow 940M <br />lhg. <br />(Signetl,� JOHN 11.
