4 <br />COUNTY COUNCIL, <br />SPECIAL SESSION. <br />Comrcm CHAKU%, November 11, 1877. <br />The Council met pursuant to a summons from the Warden. The roll was called; <br />all the members present except Mr. Elliott. <br />The 11'arden addressed the Conneil, and stated the object of the meeting. <br />The Special Committee appointed to superintend the repairs and additions to the <br />sew Registry Office and procure furniture for the different otaces in the County <br />Buildings presented their report. Appendix A. <br />Moved by Mr. Blanning; seconded by Mr. Plant, that the report of the Special <br />Oommittee just read be adopted. <br />Moved in amendment by Dr. Carney, and seconded by Dr. Gaboury, that the n+. <br />port be referred back to the committee for fnrtber particular, no as to chew the <br />artoal amount expended by the committee on repairs. <br />A rote was taken on the amendment and carried. <br />The original motion was lost. <br />The Warden presented an invitation from the officials of the County, inviting the' <br />arembers of the Council to a luncheon at " Stuart's Hotel;' <br />Moved by Mr. Iler. seconded by Mr. Orton, that the thanks of the Council be t,•n- <br />deed to Judge Leg"tt and the other officials, and that the invitation be accepted by <br />the Council. Carried. <br />Mr. Mullins gives notice that at the next sittings of this Council he will intmdnee <br />a By-law to direct and straighten the Tecumseh Road in the Township of Rochester <br />ad Village of Belle River. <br />Mr. Lyons gives notice that he will at the next sittings of this Council introduce <br />a By -law to amend By -law No. 103. <br />Moved by Dr. Carney, seconded by Mr. Blanning, that this Council adjourn to mart <br />at ten o'clo* on Friday morning, in order to give the Special Committee on Repair. <br />tithe County Offices time to report in accordance with the request of the Council. <br />Moved in amendment by Mr. Russell, and seconded by Mr. Mickle, that this Voun- <br />ei7 adjourn until January. <br />Moved in amendment to the amendment by Mr. White, and seconded by Mr. Mul- <br />* that the Council adjourn until 7 p.m. <br />A vote was taken on the last amendment and carried. <br />svutnte s"Wox -7 P.M. <br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
