XINVTLB AND PROOFLBDINGS <br />otr Tan <br />Corporation of the Connto of <br />SPBCIAL SESSIONS <br />055tro <br />Council Chamber,10oh 44tb, ]tlM <br />The Reeves and Depnty Reeves of the connty of Esaei met in the <br />council chamber, in the town of Sandwich, for the purpose of taking <br />into eon6ideraiion a By -It.w to raise four thousand dollars by debentures, <br />as a loan to the Sandwich Street Plant Road Company, and such other <br />bustlzes as alight be brought before them. <br />Prevent --the. Warden and Messrs. McMullin, Langloie, Chamber+, . ! <br />Ruthven, St Louis, Montreuil, Ray, McLean, Henderson, Wright, Fos, <br />aharnbeis and Wigle. <br />The Warden explained the object of the meeting. <br />The tenders for gaol supplies were opened, and read by the Clerk. <br />Mr. McNullilc mover, seconded by Mr. Langlois, That the tender of <br />F. Winter for meat, Julius Delirden for bread, C. Haggart for wood, and <br />J. B. GauthW for groceries be accepted, theirs being the lowest tenders„ <br />upon their turn ishrng.satisfactory sureties for the due performance of the <br />•proposed contracts. Carried. <br />Mr. Ray gives notice that he will to-morrow introduce a petition froaa <br />John Stone, attmi others, relative to the issumtn; of new mad, which has <br />just been surveyed between Maidstone and Rochester. <br />Mr. Wigle gives notice that he will to- morrow introduce !r Bj -law for <br />the appointment of Windle M. Wrg ColcheateGusfie Weights ffiersea, Tilbury <br />sutes for the Eastern townships, say <br />West, Rochester and :Maidstone. <br />Moved by Mr. Cunningham, seconded by Mr. Wright. That the Ware <br />den and the gablsr be requested to see that the contractors for supplying <br />the Gaol fulfil the terms of their contracts in evory particular. Carried. <br />Mr. Ray presented the petition of John Stone and others, which was <br />Warred to the Road and Brid..ge Committee. Appendix A. <br />Mr. Cunningham presented a polio err from Levi Loveless and other4 <br />which was relerred to the Road and Bridge Committee.
