ayiu MINUTES OF THE PROCEEDINGS <br />• ya <br />OF THE <br />(corporation of the C ountn of Cwr. <br />•ct <br />THIRTY -SIXTH SESSION: <br />�,..:ol 'sv - -ter.. •.i•• ..a. <br />COUNCIL CHAMBER, January 22d, 1867. <br />In conformity with the Municipal Institutions' Act of Upper Canada, <br />the Reeves and Deputy Reeves of the several Municipalities comprising <br />the County of Essex, met at the Council Chamber in the Court House, <br />in the Town of Sandwich, on Tuesdav, the 22d day of January, 1867. <br />The following gentlemen put in and filed with the Clerk, certificates <br />of having been duly elected and taken the oath of qualification and of <br />office. <br />Gosfie'd— Solomon Wigle, Reeve; Theodore Wigle, Deputy Reeve. <br />Sandwich East — Joseph Pratt, Reeve; Edward O'Neil, Deputy Reeve. <br />Colchester —John Brush, Reeve ; John Richmond, Deputy Reeve. <br />Amherstburg— Dennis Delisle, Reeve ; John Conroy, Deputy Reeve. <br />Windsor— George Shipley, Reeve ; Donald Cameron, Deputy Reeve. <br />Sandwich West —Noe Langlois, Reeve. <br />Sandwich, Town —P. A. McMullin, Reeve. <br />Maidstone —John Chambers. Reeve. <br />Mersea — Theodore Malott, Reeve. <br />Rochester— Joseph Alexander Ray, Reeve, <br />Malden —Gore Atkin, Reeve. <br />Anderdon —Henry H. Cunningham, Reeve. <br />The members of the Council having been called to order by the <br />Clerk, for the °purpose of electing, from among themselves, one to pre- <br />side as Warden for the current year. Mr. Trudell, the Reeve of Til- <br />bury West, being absent, the Council adjourned until six o'clock P. X., <br />to allow Mr. Trudell time to get to the Council Chamber. <br />6P.DI. <br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment. All the members present <br />except Mr. Trudell. <br />Moved by Mr. Theodore Wiale seconded by Mr. Atkin, That Dennis <br />Delisle be elected Warden for the present year. <br />Moved in amendment, by Mr. McMultin, seconded by Mr. Malott. <br />That Mr. George Shipley be appointed Warden of the County of Essex <br />for the current year. <br />Moved by r. Cunningham, in amendment to the amendment, see - <br />onded by Mr. Conroy, That Mr. Langlois be Warden for the current <br />year. <br />A <br />
