<br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment. The roll was called,
<br />Present — Joseph Mercer, Esq., Warden, and Messrs. Malott, Maloney,
<br />Wigle, Brush, Resume, Demouchelle, Mott, Hirons and Resume.
<br />Moved by Mr. Malott, seconded by Mr Wigle, that the Council adjourn
<br />until tomorrow at 10 o'clock A. X. Carried.

<br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment. The roll was called.
<br />Present —The Warden, and Messrs. rush, Demonchelle, Hirons, Mott,
<br />Maloney, McPharlin, Resume, Leggatt, Desiardin, Malott and Wigle.
<br />Moved by Mr. Malott, seo)nded by Mr. Leggatt, that the Council go
<br />into a committee of the whole house, for the purpose of equalising the
<br />Assessment Rolle.
<br />Moved in amendment by Mr. Hirons, seconded by Mr. Brush, that
<br />Messrs. Leggatt, Resume, McPharlin, Wigle and the Warden be a com-
<br />mittee to equalize the Assessment Rolle.
<br />The vote having been taken upon the amendment, the you were..
<br />Messrs. Resume, DesJardin, McPharlin, Hirons, Brush, Mott and Wigle.
<br />Nays Messrs. Malott, Maloney, Leggatt and Demowchelle.
<br />Carried.
<br />Upon motion the Council then adjourned until 7 o'clock r. w-

<br />The Council met pursuant to adjournment.
<br />A quorum being hrewnt.
<br />The Warden read the report of the clasmittes appointed by the Cowscil
<br />to equalize the Assessment Rolle.
<br />Moved by Mr. Hirons, seconded by Mr. Deowuchelle, that the report of
<br />the Committee on Equalization of Assessment be adopted.
