''-~~ ~ ENVIRONMENTAL STUDY REPORT <br />,~ ~ ~~ , <br />County Road 43 (Banwell Road) <br />from CPR Tracks (City Limits) to South of County Road 42 <br />The County of Essex has completed an Environmental Study Report (ESR) of planned improvements to <br />County Road 43 (Banwell Road) extending from the CPR tracks (City Limits) to a point south of County <br />Road 42. The Study has been conducted in accordance with the requirements of a Schedule "C" <br />undertaking of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment, October 2000, as amended 2007. <br />The purpose of this Environmental Assessment is to address existing and growing transportation <br />demands on this key County roadway over the next 20 years, including short and long term traffic impacts <br />along County Road 43 to enhance public safety. The preferred improvement plan for County Road 43 <br />includes upgrading from a rural to urban cross-section and widening the road from two to four travel lanes. <br />With completion of the Environmental Study Report (ESR), and by way of this Notice, it is being placed in <br />the public record fora 30-day period for public review and comment. Eng. at the <br />County's Engineering Department listed above. <br />Please provide written comment to the County of Essex within 30 calendar days from the date of this <br />Notice. If concerns regarding this project cannot be resolved with the County, aperson/party may request <br />that the Minister of the Environment make an order for the project to comply with Part II of the <br />Environmental Assessment Act (referred to as a Part II Order) which addresses individual environmental <br />assessments. Requests must be received by the Minister at the address below no later than August 18, <br />2009. A copy of the request must also be sent to the County of Essex.
