ONTARIO MINISTRY of TRANSPORTATION ~MTO~ AND THE COUNTY of ESSEX <br />GLASS ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT AND PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br />Lef's Get Wrndsar-Essex Nlovirtg Strategy <br />ESSEX COUNTY ROAD 19 MANNING RoAD~ AND ESSEX GoUNTY ROAD 22 IMPROVEMENTS <br />NoTNCE of STUDY coM~LET~oN <br />The Stud <br />Dillon Consulting Limited was retained bythe Cntario Ministryaf <br />Transportation ~MTO~ and the County of Essex to complete the <br />Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design of <br />improvements to 13 kilometres of Essex Caunty Road 19 <br />Manning Road}, from Highway 3 to the VIA rail line, and 3 <br />kilometres of Essex County Road 22, from the City of windsar <br />boundary to Lakeshore Boulevard. The preferred design of the <br />improvements includes: <br />• widening Essex Caunty Road 19 from two to four lanes <br />• widening Essex County Road 22 from four to six lanes <br />• double lane roundabout at Essex County Roads 19 and 34 <br />• Highway 401 interchange improvements, including <br />construction of a new underpass structure and <br />reconstruction of interchange ramps <br />• widening of Pike Creek Bridge from two tv four lanes <br />• grade separation of the CPR crossing and construction of <br />accesslservice roads for existing uses <br />• single point urban interchange at Essex County Roads 19 <br />and 22 <br />• partial interchange half diamondlbutton hooky at Essex <br />County Road 22 and Lesperance Road, <br />The Process <br />The study is subject to Untario's Environr~entalAssessmentAct <br />and was planned in accordance, with the requirements of <br />Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment <br />~~ <br />w1~S!~ <br />a <br />~4ctober 20D0 as amended in ZDD7}and Group B afthe Class Environmental Assessment far Provincial Transportation <br />Facilities ~ZODD~. Opportunities for public input were provided throughout the course ofthe study.
