MINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE <br />WINDSOR -ESSEX COUNTY DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION <br />HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 25, 2000 AT 4:00 PM <br />AT CASINO WINDSOR, BOULEVARD "C ", 377 RIVERSIDE DR. EAST <br />There were present: P. Soulliere (Chair), R. Henly, P. Bondy, K. Andrews, G. Bolohan, <br />H. Brudner, R. Clarke, B. Harvey, P. Hayes, M. Solcz, J. St. Aubin, B. Wood and E. Prior <br />Pat Soulliere, Chair, called the meeting to order at 4:05 PM and thanked Keith Andrews <br />from Windsor Casino for graciously hosting our meeting and providing refreshments, etc. <br />She also gave a special welcome to our new members. All members introduced <br />themselves explaining their involvement and other interests. The Chair also expressed <br />the importance of our activities and "to keep new ideas coming in ". <br />1. DISCLOSURES OF INTEREST - None <br />2. MINUTES <br />It was moved by H. Brudner, seconded by R. Henly and carried that the <br />minutes of February 8th Board of Directors' Meeting and March 7" <br />Annual Meeting be adopted as circulated. <br />3. BUSINESS ARISING FROM FEBRUARY 8' MINUTES <br />a) Item 4. Industrial land on airport property, Town of Tecumseh — Paul Bondy <br />reported on attending a meeting in Tecumseh regarding land availability. They <br />agreed there is a need for the City of Windsor and the Town to get together and <br />discuss land issues. <br />Paul concurred that this is a "political" issue. There was a suggestion that <br />correspondence go to the County to encourage development and servicing. Pat <br />Hayes confirmed that Lakeshore will be pushing for servicing. <br />b) Item 5. Role of City of Windsor's Economic Development Services (EDS)— Pat <br />Soulliere provided some clarification. The City's EDS relates primarily to <br />tourism, conventions and hospitality. We will continue to work with the CCBA <br />and perhaps focus on improving specific blocks. There is still concern with <br />regard to the EDS name and confusion it may create. Chair agreed to speak to <br />Mr. Wills for his comments. <br />
