McGee, J. Slopen, M. Solcz, D. Stainton, B. Wood and E. Prior <br />Invited guests Tony Mancinone, Bill Carter, Dave Bortolin and Cathy Lynd were present from <br />Ernst & Young, Chartered Accountants. <br />DISCLOSURES OF INTEREST - None <br />2. MINUTES — There was a question from members regarding our motion "to obtain further <br />clarification of the roles of WECDC..." and the Chair will speak to that later in the <br />meeting. <br />It was moved by R. Henly, seconded by H. Brudner and carried that the Minutes <br />of November 23, 1999 Board of Directors Meeting be adopted as circulated. <br />FINANCIAL REPORT — Tony Mancinone, along with his associates, from Ernst & <br />Young presented the draft audited financial statement for 1999. <br />There were a few questions from board members, which we addressed. There is no legal <br />limit for the amount of reserves. Paul discussed the various HRDC projects, displaying <br />some of the completed products. <br />It was moved by R. Henly, seconded by H. Brudner and carried that the Board <br />approve recommendation of the 1999 Draft Audited Report; and also approve <br />Reserves in the amount of $68,000. from the accumulated net revenues to be used <br />for promotion and computer equipment and technology. <br />4. ADMINISTRATION — Paul Bondy discussed the availability of industrial lands. We <br />currently have interests from a U.S. facility, a Japanese firm, a U.S./European consortium. <br />He also confirmed that we have no large sites. Paul explained there is availability in <br />Ojibway but none of substantial size. <br />Regarding the airport lands, they require servicing and zoning and we are dealing with <br />blending regulations between governments. There are also height restrictions. Three <br />areas are earmarked for industrial development but Windsor and Tecumseh need to work <br />together to resolve the issues. There were concerns about losing development to other <br />markets because of this therefore "let's get discussions front & centre ". "There are <br />people from many different sectors willing to help resolve these issues." Perhaps a board <br />resolution will help make an impact. <br />Cent... <br />
