Discussion took place on possibly purchasing a chair <br />used by EMS that transfers people up and down <br />stairs. Cathie Hedges advised that the cost of this <br />equipment ranged from $3,300 for a manual lift to <br />$6,000 for a power lift and that the equipment <br />required the users to be trained. Another suggestion <br />was that the individual could be brought up or down <br />stairs using specific carrying maneuvers. <br />2.
