BY -LAWS. <br />BY -LAW NO. 89. <br />71; appoW a Cwnty Clerk for the Corporation a the County of Ems, and for other <br />�{'t�flbLh <br />Passed 18th November, 1865. <br />Whereas the Corporation of the County of Essex. in Council assembled, <br />did, on the 17th day of November, 1865, appoint Thomas McKee, of the <br />Town of Sandwich, as County Clerk in the room of Dennis Moynahan, <br />deceased ; <br />1st. Be it therefore enacted by the Council or the Corporation of the <br />County of Essex, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of the Munici- <br />pal Institutions Act of Upper Canada; That Thomas McKee, of the Town <br />of Sandwich, gentleman,.be and is hereby authorized and allowed to re- <br />ceive all fees and emoluments that may hereaftf-r be allowed to said office. <br />2nd. And be it further enacted, that the said Thomas McKee, County <br />Clerk, shall receive for the performance of the duties of said office, a salary <br />of three hundred dollars per annum, to be paid quarterly by warrant upon <br />the Treasurer of the County of Essex, and the Warden is hereby required <br />to sign warrants for the payment of said salary as the same may become <br />due. <br />3rd. And be it further enacted, that the said County Clerk shall be, and <br />is hereby required to be at and keep his office open for the transaction of <br />business on all days, [Sundays and legal holidays excepted] between the <br />hours of ten o'clock a.m., and the hour of three o'clock p. m. <br />4th. And be it further enacted, that all the provisions of any By -law <br />relating to the appointment of Clerk to this Corporation be and are hereby <br />repealed. <br />5th. This By -law to have full force and effect from and after the pam- <br />uig of the same. <br />THOS. McKEE, Clerk. <br />SOLOMON W 1GLE, Warden. <br />BY -LAW NO. 90. <br />lo Anutas certain Roads in the County of Essex as Cornty Roads. <br />Passed 18th November, 1865. <br />Be it enacted by the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the County <br />of Essex in Council assembled, under, and by virtue of the Municipal Insti- <br />tutions Act of Upper Canada, that the road known as the Bella River and <br />Kingsville Road, by and hereby is sesumed as a County Road. Also, that <br />portion of what is known as Sandwich Street, lying within the limits of <br />the town of Sandwich. <br />This By -Law to have full force and effect from and after the passing of <br />the same. <br />THOS.
