' 2S <br />NUMBER VIII. <br />A BY -LAW <br />To make provision for the manner in which a By -Law to authorize the <br />Municipal Council of the County of Essex, to raise upon the credit or <br />the Consolidated Munit ipal Loan Fund, the sum of X71000 for the <br />purpose of building a new Gaol and Court House for the use of the <br />County of Essex, shall be passed. <br />R [PASSaD, 8th June, A. D., 1954. <br />WsExsas the Municipal Council of the County of Essex have resolved+ <br />to build a new Gaol and Court House, for the use of the said County of <br />Essex, in the Town of Sandwich; and whereas the said Council are <br />desirous of availing themselves of the provisions of the Act 18th Yicti <br />chap. 22, entitled "An Act to establish: a Consolidated Municipal Loan <br />Fund for Upper Canada," And whereas the said Act requires that each <br />County Council shall male a By-Law to provide the manner in which <br />the decision of each Municipality or the electors thereof, shall be made <br />known as to whether a By -Law shall be passed to raise the mud sum <br />of E7,000, by way of Loan upon the credit of the said Consolidated <br />Municipal Loan Fund Act. <br />Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of <br />E&%x in Council assembled, by virtue of and under a The Upper Canada <br />Municipal Corporations Act of 1849," that the manner in which the <br />By -Law for raising the sum of L7,000 upon the credit of the "Municipals <br />Loan Fund Act,'' for building a new Gaol and Court House, in the <br />Town of Sandwich, for the use of the County of Essex, shall be passed <br />shall be by the majority of votes of the Municipalities approving or disap- <br />proving the same and the manner in which the decision of each Munici- <br />pality shall be made known to the County Clerk shall be by a certificate <br />under the hand of the Township, Town, or Village Clerk of each Munici- <br />pality. <br />JOHN SLOAN, <br />Wardon. <br />J.
