Whereas, it is expedient and desirable that some provision should be made to prevent the obstruction of streams, creeks, water courses ad roads on the county roads of the county of Essex, and also for the pa. tectiou of the several county bridges in the county of Essex, Be it therefore enacted by the Municiral Council of the county of Be• eez • e 1st. That from and after the fussing of this by -law no person or p* was shall obstruct streams, creeks, water courses and bridges on the cow ty roads of the county of Essex, by trees, brash -wood, timber, or other material 2d. That no person or persons shall obstruct a county bridge or bridges by depositing, or allowing to remain on it or them, any cord -wood, stone or other material, or using the said bridge or bridges for any other purpose than for travelling. 3d. That no person or persons shall drive horses or cattle at any Ims taster than s w&Jk over any bridge on the county roads more than twW ty feet in epan. 4th. That any person guilty of an infraction of any of the provi- of this by-law, shall, upon conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding twenty dollars, to be enforced with costs by summary conviction before any Justice of the Pam having jurisdiction in the county of Essen; cod in default of payment to be leviel by distress and sale of the goods &W ehatteb of the offender or offenders.
