[PASeED Ond July, 2859. Whereas it is necco;sary, in order to - entitle the several Townships is the County of Essen to certain sums of money out of the Legislative school Grant, for the payment of legally qualified feathers, to asses the several Townships in sums equal at least to the sums appointed, after allowing for - defalcations and expenses for collection; and whereas is ist necessary to provide for the Ralaries of .Local Superintendents of Schools; and whereas it will require the sutn of two thousand one hundred and sev. enty -six dollars, to be raised, levied and collected, for the payment ofqual- i6ed Teachers, and a further sum of two hundred and sixteen dollars for the payment of Local Superintendents of Schools. I. Be it therefore enacted by the County CeunciJ of the Corporation of the County of Essex, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of the Up- per Canada Municipal Act, and it is hereby enacted, by the au. thority of the same, that there be raised, levied and collected, upon the rateable property in the several Towuships in the County of Essex, to addition to all other rates and assessments, for the payment of qualified 'teachers and Local Superintendents of Schools, the iota of $2392 ; and that the several sums set opposite to the naawes of each Township in the schedule hereunto annexed, and forming part of this By -Law, " be raised, levied and collected therein, in the same tuanner as sU other County Rates are now by law raised, levied and collected ; and the sums for the payment of qualified Teachers in the said Schedule mentioned, shall be paid into the hands of the County Treasurer, and the sums in said 28citedule also mentioned for the parities it of Local Superintendents, shall be paid over into the hands of Sul - Treasurers of School monies of the several '`own_ !hips respectively, on or before the 14th day of December now next ensu.
