<br />To repeal Bp -Law No. 20, entitled "A By -Law to enable the Municipal
<br />Council of the County of Esgec to raise, by way of loan, the Pont of
<br />£10.000, for opening Town Linea, and imprnvh the County Reads
<br />within the County o Essex," and passed on the 1th day of December,
<br />A. D. 1855.
<br />(Passed 27th January, A. D. 1958.]
<br />Whereas, it is expedient to repeal By -Law No. 20, and entitled, "A By-
<br />Law to enable Lite Municipal Council of the County of Essex to raise,.by
<br />way of loan, the sum of £10,000, for opening Town Lines, and improving
<br />the County Reads within the County of Essex."
<br />I. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of
<br />Essex, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of the " Upper Canada
<br />Municloal Corporations Act of 1849," and it is hereby enacted by the
<br />authority of the same, that the By -L-tw No. 20, entitled "A By -Law to
<br />enable the Municipal council of the County of Essex to raise, by way of
<br />loan, the sum of £10,000, for opening Town Lines, and improving the
<br />County Roads wit.libi the County of Essex," and passed on the 4th day of
<br />December, A. D. 1815, be, and the same is hereby repea!ed.

<br />To appoint a County Clerk for the County of Essex, and for other pies
<br />poses therein mentioned.
<br />(Passed 27th January, A. D. 1858.1
<br />L Whereas, the Municipal Corporation of the County of Essex in
<br />Council assembled, did, on the twenty- Iit'th day of January, 1858, duly
<br />elect Duncan Alexander McMullin, of the Town of Sandwich, in the
<br />County of Essex, Esquire, U►unty Clerk of the said County of Essex,
<br />under and by virtue of the " Upper Canada Municipal Corporation Act
<br />of 1849;'
<br />II. Be it therefore enacted by the Warden and Councilors of the Manf-
<br />cipal Uorpomtion of the County of Essex, in Co.incil assembled, under
<br />and by virtue of the aforesaid act, that the said Duncan Alexander Me.
<br />Mullin is hereby appointed, to all intents and purlmwe, the County Clerk
<br />of the said Municipal Corporation of the said County of Essex, and shall
<br />be entitled to, and is hereby authorized to receive all fees, salaries and
<br />emoluments to be hereafter derived therefrom.
<br />111. Be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the salary of
<br />the said Duncan Alexander 'Me3lullin, for his services as County Clerk of
<br />the Raid Couut,y of 1Fjgwx, shall be the sum of seventy-five pounds cy. .
<br />IV. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, that the said
<br />salary to be paid to the said Duncan Alexander McMullin shall be paid
<br />by warrant upon the Treasurer of the said County of E*wx, quarterly,
<br />and that the Warden is hereby authorized and required to sign the war-
<br />rant for the payment of said salary as the same may become dud; and
