14 <br />BY -LAW Ira as=, . <br />1c1 pROVIDF FOK THE PAVMFNT OF QUALIFIED PUBLIC SCHOOL ,rCACHNS <br />nNn SCHOOL INSPECTORS FOR THE YEAR 1879, passed June I1, 1879• <br />Whereas, it is necessary, so as to entitle the several municipalities in tlk <br />county of Essex to certain sums of money out of the Legislative grant as <br />portioned by the Minister of Education for the payment of the salaries of leyai• <br />ly qualified public school teachers, to assess the several municipalities in sums <br />equal at least to the sum apportioned after allowing for defalcation and "Pem <br />of collection; <br />And whereas, it is necessary to provide for the salaries of school inspectors <br />for the said county of Essex; <br />Aad whereas, it will require the sum of $39750 to be raised, levied and at <br />lected for the payment of qualified public school teacher, and a further sum of <br />$t,000 for thepayment of school inspectors: <br />Be it therefure enacted by the Council of the corporation of the county of <br />Essex, in Council assembled, under and by virtue of chapter 204 of the Revised <br />Statutes of Ontario; and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that <br />there shall be raised and collected upon the whole rateable property in the ser• <br />eral municipalities, save and except the towns of Amberstburg and Windsor, in <br />the said county of Essex, in addition to all other rates and assessments for the <br />payment of qualified public school teachers and school inspectors, the sum of <br />$4,750; and the several sums set opposite the names of each municipality in & <br />schedule hereunder written, which schedule forms part of this by -law, shall bt <br />raised, levied and collected therein respectively, and the said several sums sw <br />_ be collected and paid into the hands of the county Treasurer on or before the <br />fourteenth day of December next ensuing. <br />SCHEDULE REFERRED TO IN THE ABOVE BY-LAW. <br />Townships.
