is BY -LAPP X& 230: L By -Laic to prcvide and levy the stem of =100 towards the Institutes Of Teachers in the Mirth and SoutA Ridin93 of the County of EUM Paaasd Jane 221, 1877, Whereas it is necessary and expedient to provide and levy the snag of one hundred dollars towards the Institutes of Teachers in the Borth and South Hidings of the county of Essex: Be it therefore enacted by the councit of the corporation of the oeaafiy of pdstz� under and by virtue of the Public School Act of the Province d Oahute, thrk the sum of one hundred dollars be paid towards the Institutes of Teachers in the North and South Ridings of the county of Essex for the current year in manner foliew lwn that is to say: Fifty dollars to the North Biding and the same suns to tiw ldoatb Biding. And be It bather enacted that the said sums be paid to the iaspreeters of scboois for the said Ridings, and the warden is hereby authorized to siga wafmsta upon the b asarer of the said county for the payment of the same. Passed June 22d, 187 " Whereas, it is expedient to raise monies for the im?rovement of eertsin roads and bridges in the county of Essex : Be it therefore enacted b) the council of the corporation Qf the county of lrasex, is Council Assembled, and it is hereby enacted under the authority of the some, and under and by virtue of the Municipal Institutions Act of Ontario, that there shall be levied and collected the sum of eleven thousand one hundred dollars upon the whole rateable property in the county of Essex, in addition to all other rates and assess - saeuts imposed, for the improvement of certain roads and bridges in the county of Essen Be it further enacted that the said sum of eleven thousand one hundred dollars, to be mused, jevied and collected as aforceaid, sl.alI be expended as so forth in the s Wale hereunder written, which schedule shall be and form part of this by -law. Be it further enacted that the whole work to be done and performed as aforesaid, shall be given out by contract by public competition, or in suelkother manner as to tits eummisaiouers duly appointed to superintend the same may seem best,. on or be. fora the first day of Septe rnlier next; and should any one of the said comminioaers fail to be pirewnt at the trove appointed for the letting of the work, thta any one of tba commissioners may proceed to the letting of the game. Be it further enacted that all contracts entered into for the performance of the work to be done under Uw provisions of this by -law, shall be signed by the commiaaioner orcomanissioners letting the Rime on behalf of the county corporation, and that all Susan shell be paid by tht treasurer of the county upon a certificate being produced from the said cowmitsiouer or ron:missioners letting the Fame, of the work having been performed according to contract.
