BY -LAW No. 2280 A By -law to provide for the pnyinent q qualifie(l Public School Teachers for the year one thou wki eight hundred and sepcnty- serex. Passed June t8d, 1877. Whereas, it is necessary, so as to entitle the several municipalities in the county of BMX to certain same of money out of the Legislative grant as apportioned by the Chief Superintendent of Education, for the payment of the galartes of legally quali- fied Public School Tmchers, to assees the said several municipalities in sums equal, at least, to the sums apportioned after allowing for defalcation and expenses of od- lection ; And whereas, it will require the sum of $3,404 to be be raised, levied and 0011ee1- ed for the payment of •tbe said qualified Public School Teachers : Be it therefore enacted by the council of the corporation of the county of Berea, in ooancil assembled, under and by virtue of the Public School Act of the Province of Ontario, and it is hereby enacted by the authority of the same, that there .ball be raised, levied and collected upon the whole rateable property is the several munici- palities ie the county of Essex, in addition to all other rates and assessments, fen the payment of qualified public school teachers, the own of $3,404, and the several sums set opposite to the names of each municipality in the schedule hereinunder written, which schedule forms part of this by -law, shall be raised, levied and col- lected therein respectively, and the said several sums shall be oolleew and paid into the hands of the township treasurer, on or before the fourteenth day of Do. cember next ensuing.
