A BY -LAW To provide for the carrent expenses of the County of Essex for the year 1854. [Pess$n, 18th August, 1854. WHas$As it is necessary to provide the sum of £2,736 to defray the current expenses of the County of Essex, and whereas the whole assessed ralae of property in the County of Essex amounts to £656,687, and it will require a rate of one penny in the pound to be raised, levied and cot_ lected upon the assessed value of all the property therein to raise the said sum of 12736. Be it therefore enacted by the Municipal Council of the County of Eue], die. That there shall be raised, levied and collected a rate of one penny in the pound upon the whole rateable property of the County of Essex in uldition to all other rates and assessments for and during the present rear for the general purposes of the said County of Essex. And be it further enacted that the burthen of the said assessment shall be portioned amongst and borne by the several Townships, the Town Of Amherstburg and the village of Windsor in the proportion or shares 4.
