I 1 0 0 THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LAW #2650 A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW #2634, A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE RULES GOVERNING THE ORDER AND PROCEEDINGS OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX, THE CONDUCT OF ITS MEMBERS AND CALLING OF MEETINGS. WHEREAS, the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex has adopted a By-law vhich sets out Rules of Order and Proceedings for Council meetings; AND WHEREAS, it is necessary from time to time to amend such Rules of Order and Proceedings to reflect the wishes of the Council of the day; THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that By-law #2634 is hereby amended as contained in the following. 1. The inaugural session of Council in each year shall be held on the 2nd Tuesday of December at the Your of 8:00 p.m. o'clock. 2. Sessions of Council shall be held in the Council Cumbers at the Essex County Civic and Education Centre, Essex, Ontario, unless otherwise decided by a vote of Council. 3. Regular sessions of Council will be held monthly, on the third Wednesday of each month. Special Sessions of Council may be summoned at the call of the Wadden if deemed necessary. 4. Regular sessions of Council will commence at the Your of 7:00 p.m. o'clock and will adjourn at the hour of 11:00 p.m. o'clock. however, if Council should deem it necessary to meet beyond the hour of curfew, then a resolution to proceed and finalize the business items on the agenda is in order. 5. In the absence of the Warden (or the Presiding Officer as appointed) or in the case where the office of Warden is vacant, a special session may be summoned by the Clerk upon a requisition, in writing, signed by a majority of the members of Council, being received in his office stating the date, time arra place of the requested session. 6. As soon after the hour of meeting as there shall be a quorum present, the Warden shall take the chair and call the members to order.
