BY-LAW NO. 1350...__.~~A A BY-LAW TO PROVIDE FOR THE 19 60 E~PENDITURES ON ROADS UNDER THE HIGHW~ IMPROVEMENT ACT IN THE COUNTY OF Essex WHEREAS The High~ay Improvement Act requires %hat the toal expenditure on roads be provided for annually by county by-law and ~hat the by-law be submit- ted to the Minister of Highways for approval. TH~REFORE the Council of the Corporation of the said County enacts as follows: (1) The sum of $732,970.00 is hereby estimated as the expenditure upon the construction and maintenance of the roads and bridges under its jurisdiction during the year 19 60 . as follows:- Roads Bridges and Culverts New Machinery Superintendence and Overhead TOTALS C ONSTRUC TION $547~, 770.0o 70,400.00 0o... , ~_ 50~ 000,00 MAINTENANCE TOTAL $5,500.: 00~ $553,270. O0 70~400.00 59.,300.00 50,000.00 1 $5,500.00 $732,970.00 (2) The said monies shall be expended under the supervision of the duly appointed county road superintendent and on work performed in accordance with The Highway Improvement Act. (3) The clerk shall transmit duplicate copies of this by-law to the dis- trict office of the Municipal Roads BranCh, Department of Highways, not later than March 31st, of the said year.
