County of Essex The Corporation of the County of Essex By -Law Number 25-2020 A By-law to Appoint Auditors of the Corporation of the County of Essex for the Fiscal Year Ended December 31, 2020. Whereas Section 296, Subsection (1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended states that a municipality shall appoint an auditor licensed under the Public Accountancy Act, 2004 who is responsible for annually auditing the accounts and transactions of the municipality and its local boards and expressing an opinion on the financial statements of these bodies based on the audit; and performing duties required by the municipality or local board; And Whereas the Corporation of the County of Essex deems it appropriate to appoint auditors in accordance with the said Act. Now therefore the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex hereby enacts as follows: 1) That the firm of KPMG LLP, Chartered Accountants, of the City of Windsor, are hereby appointed Auditors for The -Corporation of the County of Essex for the year ended December 31, 2020. 2) That all other By-laws inconsistent with this By-law are hereby repealed. 3) This By-law shall come into force and take effect after the final passing. Read a first, second and third time and Finally Passed this 3rd day of June, 2020.
