County of Essex The Corporation of the County of Essex By -Law Number 49-2017 A By-law to authorize the purchase from the Essex Region Conservation Authority of the Conservation Authority's ownership interest in the Essex County Civic Centre. Whereas the Corporation has agreed to purchase from the Essex Region Conservation Authority its undivided 7.87% ownership interest in the Essex County Civic Centre, including the Authority's ownership interest in the artwork collection in the Civic Centre; And Whereas it is deemed expedient to enter into formal written agreements with the Essex Region Conservation Authority in that regard; Now therefore the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex hereby enacts as follows: 1. That the Corporation purchase from the Essex Region Conservation Authority the Authority's undivided 7.87% interest in the Essex County Civic Centre for a purchase price of $213,000.00, which price was calculated at the rate of $26.10 per square of foot of area occupied by the Greater Essex County District School Board in the Civic Centre at the time of the purchase. 2. That the Corporation purchase from Essex Region Conservation Authority the Authority's undivided interest in the artwork collection in the Civic Centre for a purchase price of $15,000.00. 3. That the Clerk of the Corporation be and the same is hereby authorized to execute the 2017 Agreement Regarding 360 Fairview Avenue West, and any and all other documents that may be necessary or appropriate to complete the said purchase, a copy of which Agreement is attached hereto and forms part of this By-law.
