THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br />BY -LAW # 58 -2007 <br />A BY -LAW TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT UNDER THE <br />ASSET MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (AMP) PROJECT <br />OF THE CANADA - ONTARIO MUNICIPAL RURAL <br />INFRASTRUCTURE FUND ( COMRIF) INITIATIVE <br />WHEREAS the Corporation of the County of Essex has applied for funding under <br />the Asset Management Program (AMP) Project of the Canada - Ontario Municipal <br />Rural Infrastructure Fund ( COMRIF) Initiative to assist with the new Public <br />Sector Accounting Board standards and to undertake works related to addressing <br />one or more of the following five stages of asset management: diagnostic, <br />inspection, valuation, sustainability /planning and financial model; <br />AND WHEREAS funds have been allocated in the amount of $55,760.00 <br />representing the COMRIF portion; <br />AND WHEREAS it is deemed necessary and desirable that the Council of the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex enact a by-law authorizing the Corporation to <br />enter into an agreement with Her Majesty the Queen in Right of Ontario as <br />represented by the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs ( COMRIF File <br />No. 17896), in order to participate in the COMRIF program. <br />NOW THEREFORE, the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex <br />hereby enacts as follows: <br />1. That the Warden and Chief Administrative Officer /Deputy Clerk are <br />hereby authorized to sign and seal all things, papers and documents <br />necessary for, or incidental to the execution of the COMRIF application <br />and program. <br />2. THAT the agreement attached hereto and annotated as Schedule "A" is <br />hereby deemed to be a schedule to this by -law. <br />3. That this By -law shall come into force and take effect upon the passing <br />thereof. <br />
