THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX <br />BY -LAW NUMBER 41 -2007 <br />A BY -LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXPROPRIATION OF <br />CERTAIN LANDS ALONG COUNTY ROAD 22 IN THE <br />TOWN OF LAKESHORE <br />WHEREAS the Corporation of the County of Essex is in a position to <br />begin the reconstruction of that part of County Road 22 from Lakeshore Boulevard to <br />Patillo Road; <br />AND WHEREAS it is necessary that the Corporation of the County of <br />Essex acquire certain lands currently owned by others, along the north and south side of <br />the existing County Road 22 road allowance, along the east and west side of the existing <br />Patillo Road road allowance, along the east and west side of the existing East Puce Road <br />road allowance to allow for the reconstruction of that portion of County Road 22 from <br />Lakeshore Boulevard to Patillo Road; <br />AND WHEREAS the Corporation of the County of Essex will commence <br />negotiations to purchase any of these lands on terms and conditions satisfactory to the <br />Corporation of the County of Essex; <br />NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex <br />enacts as follows: <br />THAT the Corporation of the County of Essex take any and all steps necessary to <br />acquire title to the lands identified on Dillon Consulting drawing number P1, P2, <br />P3 and P4 for the reconstruction of that portion of County Road 22 from <br />Lakeshore Boulevard to Patillo Road; which acquisitions are to be on terms and <br />conditions approved by the Council of the Corporation. <br />THAT expropriation proceedings be commenced by the Corporation of the <br />County of Essex to acquire title to those lands referred to in Section 1 herein. <br />3. THAT the Warden and the Clerk be and the same are hereby authorized to sign <br />any and all documentation required to acquire the title to the lands referred to in <br />Section 1 herein, whether by expropriation or otherwise, including all <br />documentation necessary to proceed with the expropriation process. <br />
