JHSC Civic Centre Minutes <br />March 30, 2017 <br />response on the status of the surveillance cameras and recommends that <br />signage be placed to inform employees and visitors to the Civic Centre that <br />video surveillance is taking place within and surrounding the building. <br />[Post Meeting Note: Discussion with previous JHSC committee member <br />clarified that this item was only to request a copy of the report. This item is <br />noted as "Information Received" as the Committee has a copy of the report.] <br />4. As per the 2001 Agreement between Local 2974.1 Civic Centre Employees and <br />the Corporation, the Worker Members and the Management Members of the <br />JHSC can each have one (1) Alternate Committee Member. The Alternate would <br />be responsible for filling in on monthly inspections, quarterly meetings, and any <br />other responsibilities that the current committee members have if one of their <br />respective members is unable to fulfil their duties. Terri Marentette will serve as <br />the Alternate for the Worker Members. The Committee recommends that <br />Management select a competent alternate to fulfil these duties. <br />Review of Terms of Reference <br />As per the Quarterly Meeting, December 2016, the current JHSC will review the <br />overall function of the Committee and initiate a review of the Committee's Terms <br />of Reference (To R). The current ToR were established in 2001 and have not been <br />reviewed since that time. The Co -Chairs of the Committee will have a meeting in <br />early May, 2017 to discuss this item further. <br />Workplace Incidents <br />The Committee is not aware of any workplace incidents within the first quarter of <br />the year. <br />New Business <br />5. A representative from Safety Comp Services was scheduled to conducted sound <br />level checks in the I.T. server room and the boiler room on February 17th, <br />2017. Additionally, the representative was scheduled to review the Civic Centre <br />and assess whether or not there are any confined spaces within the building. <br />The JHSC is requesting a copy of the reports related to those investigations <br />completed on February 17th, 2017. <br />6. The Committee reviewed the recent monthly inspections to determine if there <br />are any outstanding items and if any further action is required for those items. <br />a. First Aid Stations <br />First Aid boxes have not been properly maintained and do not meet the <br />requirements outlined in Ontario Regulation 1101 of the Workplace Safety <br />Page 2 of 3 <br />
