i'l <br />Countv of <br />Essex <br />The Corporation of the County of Essex <br />By-Law Number O9-2OL7 <br />A By-law to Authorize the Execution of a Study Subsite <br />Agreement between Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, <br />Dr. Christian Vaillancourt and The Corporation of the <br />County of Essex (Essex Windsor Emergency Medical <br />Services) <br />whereas Dr. vaillancourt has designed a study (The study) entitled "A <br />Pragmatic Strategy Empowering Paramedics to Assess Low-Risk Trauma <br />Patients with the Canadian C-Spine Rule and Selectively Transport them <br />without Im mobilization"; <br />And Whereas The Study will be sponsored by the Ottawa Hospital Research <br />Institute and performed as part of a multi-centre initiative; <br />And Whereas The Study is funded by an IMPACT award granted to Dr. <br />Vaillancourt, via the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, through the Ontario <br />SPOR SUPPORT unit ("OSSU") which receives funding from the Canadian <br />Institutes of Health Research ("CIHR"); <br />And Whereas Dr. Vaillancourt will be responsible for the overall conduct of <br />the Study; <br />And Whereas the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and Dr. Vaillancourt <br />wish to have Essex Windsor Emergency Medical Services (EWEMS) <br />participate in the Study, to be conducted by EWEMS; <br />And Whereas EWEMS wishes to conduct and take part in The Study; <br />Now therefore the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex <br />hereby enacts as follows: <br />1) That the Warden and the Clerk of the Corporation be and they are <br />hereby authorized to execute the Study Subsite Agreement, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto, and affix the Corporate Seal thereto.
