CORPORA TION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX BY-LA W # 01-2005 A BY-LAW TO AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN HER MAJESTY THE QUEEN, IN RIGHT OF ONTARIO, AS REPRESENTED BY THE MINISTER OF HEALTH AND LONG -TERM CARE AND THE CORPORATION OF THE COUNTY OF ESSEX. WHEREAS the Ministry has designed the Patient Lift Initiative in order to assist in reducing the risk of musculoskeletal injuries among nurses and other health care providers who lift and transfer patients; AND WHEREAS the Ministry will fund the Corporation of the County of Essex- Sun Parlor Home to purchase and educate staff in the use of the lifts for this purpose; NOW THEREFORE the Council of the Corporation of the County of Essex enacts as follows: 1. THAT the Administrator and Director of Nursing for the Sun Parlor Home are hereby authorized to execute and deliver on behalf of the Corporation of the County of Essex the said Agreement, and that the acts of said officers of this Corporation who may have already executed and delivered said Agreement are hereby ratified and confIrmed as the acts of this Corporation. 2.
