APPROVAL OF MINUTES: Minutes of March 10, 2010 were approved. <br />2. ADDITIONS TO AGENDA: <br />New Business: 6 (a) New Dietary Equipment <br />(b) Parking <br />3. CORRESPONDENCE: None. <br />4. REGULAR REPORTS: <br />(a) Concern Forms: (1) Dietary —Cook unloading pans of oatmeal from cambro <br />when one large pan of oatmeal fell to the floor. It was determined that the pan <br />was not loaded properly. Maria re- instructed all Cooks to follow proper <br />procedures in this regard. <br />(b) Incident Reports –The Committee reviewed the incident reports. A summary is <br />attached. <br />The JHSC reviewed an incident involving a mushroom allergy in building. It was <br />agreed that staff and the employer are doing all that they can to ensure that <br />mushrooms are not brought into the building. <br />(c) Inspection Reports –The Committee reviewed the inspection reports from the <br />March 10t ", 2010 inspection. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS: <br />(a) Ministry of Labour Orders - Update <br />Management advised that there are approximately nine HCA's remaining to be <br />fit tested. This will be completed by April 16 As well, the HVAC maintenance <br />has been completed and Management awaits the final report from Honeywell. <br />(b) Orientation <br />Management advised that they discussed the current orientation schedule for <br />new staff with nursing management. Nursing management have agreed to <br />replace the staff orientator for the first four hours on the first day of orientation. <br />This will allow them to devote their undivided attention to the new staff member. <br />Labour advised that Bonnie Jones and Melissa Desjardins will be added to the <br />orientation team for back care. The JHSC committee suggested that staff who <br />have volunteered to be on the orientation team be asked again as to whether <br />they wish to continue. There appears to be staff who are no longer willing to do <br />
